In her form approach, Turi Heisselberg Pedersen (born in Denmark in 1965) has gradually turned from the container towards the organic : in sculptures inspired by bulbs, stalks and tubers, she expresses a vision and a tactile experience that has more to do with an affect than a desire to represent. The surface is covered with a sprayed engobe that united with the body of clay, incised with lines, matte, with earthy but luminous colours ; she brings to it that strong sensuality which is her hallmark.
Her work has often been shown in Denmark and France. In 2010, she won the Prize at the Vallauris Biennial in the section devoted to container. She is featured in a large number of collections including the Musée de Sèvres Cité de la céramique, the Musée de la Céramique, Vallauris, the Designmuseum Danmark or the Danish Arts Foundation in Denmark.
