For this second edition of 3 days in Paris, 15 galleries in the Marais area invite art professionals and art lovers to 3 days of exhibitions, meetings and openings.
To celebrate 3 days in Paris, the Galerie Maria Lund has asked five artists to give their vision of the notion of interiority through a series of sculptures.
L’intimité en question (Questioning intimacy)
Five Nordic artists have been selected for the theme Au cœur de l’intime (At the heart of intimacy) - Mois de la photo 2014.
Jean-Louis Pinte, the curator of the theme will develop the reasons that brought him to choose this topic and question the notions of intimacy and desecration in a contemporary context, where the boundaries between private and public are shifting.
A collaboration between the Embassy of Norway, the Institut finlandais, the Institut suédois, Galerie des nouvelles images & Galerie Maria Lund.

The Jeudis ARTY invites you to (re)discover Parisian galleries: during an exceptional late night opening some thirty galleries will host performances, meetings with artists and openings.
At this occasion, the GALERIE MARIA LUND invites you to prick up your ears for the performance MURMURS (MURMURES)
It is performed by Stanislas Perrin and Fannie Lineros in the context of the exhibition Praeternatural Light (Lumière préternaturelle), of the South-African artist Lyndi Sales currently on show at the gallery, inspired by The doors of perception, Aldous Huxley's testimony of his experience with mescaline in May 1953. For this first edition of the Jeudis ARTY the gallery Maria Lund proposes a selection of excerpts from this hallucinated account.
For further information:
The installation Audience – a large eye suspended made of a multitude of irises, of looks - is part of the artist's reflection on perception.

Phrenos - La Banque du Souffle is a large scale project led by Filomena Borecka over a period of 6 years that consists in a sculpture, the Phrenos compartment, in which the spectator can enter, and a survey of 12 questions on the contemporary imagination of breath, to which 1800 volunteers answered – testimonies given by people from different ages, countries and social backgrounds. With her performance de l'air!!! Filomena Borecka - through the voice of the actor Jean Guiet- places the answers about catching one's breath in resonance with Bente Skjøttgaard's sculpture exhibition Aire de repos (Rest area).
